Poonch, June 1: Just a day after Minister of External affairs sent a clear message to Pakistan that no cease fire violations by the latter will be taken lightly and that there would be an equal response from the Indian side, Pakistan again affected a ceasefire violation in the BG sector in Poonch, Jammu.
Firing from the other side started at 12: 00 am to 12: 30 am. Light firing again resumed at at 06:00 am. The Pakistan side used automatics & RPG
There were no casualties on our side even as there was no retaliation by own troops.
PRO Defence Lt.Col. Manish Mehta informed that in the recent attempts of Ceasefire violation by Pakistan in KG sector, Poonch automatics and RPG were used. However, there has not been any retaliation by own troops. He added that the Army is maintaining a strict vigil of the situation.
