Udhampur Car bomb blast case Verdict: LeT militant awarded life term

Jammu, September 11: In the verdict announced on Thursday by District and Sessions court, Udhampur in the Udhampur Car bomb blast case in 2011, a militant has been awarded life term imprisonment.

The Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist named Abdul Majeed was held guilty of killing a civilian and injuring half a dozen people that includes a senior army officer while the main accused of the blast Mohammad Sarwar who manage to escape from the spot is still absconding.

In 2011, these two militants Abdul Majeed and Mohammad Sarwa had carried out a IED-triggered car bomb explosion at Birwan bridge on the outskirts of Udhampur town.
