Udhampur- Katra train to be flagged off by Prime Minister Modi on July 4


Top-level SPG to secure Modi's visit to J&K

The Udhampur Katra train is all set to be flagged off by by Prime Minister Narendera Modi who will launch this train on the morning of July 4 thus adding a new chapter in the history of Indian railways by connecting this shrine and town with rest of the country. Modi will reach Jammu in the morning from where he will fly to Katra. Later PM Modi will leave for Srinagar, and hold meetings with senior army and civil officials to assess the ground situation in Kashmir. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Uri in Baramulla where he will inaugurate the 240 MW Uri-II Hydroelectric Project which has been constructed by NHPC.
