Tempers between India and Pakistan are at an all-time high ever since the dastardly terror attacks. From recent reports Pakistan had put its Air Force on high alert, India meanwhile has increased troop deployment on the LOC and stepped up pressure on the UN platform. There is even a bill in the US parliament asking for Pakistan to be branded a terror state.
We had recently told you about how singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya lashed out against Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt for giving work to Pakistani actors in Bollywood, in the wake if Uri attack. While other members from the film fraternity has also condemned the attack, MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) has given a deadline to Pakistani actors to leave the country in 48 hours.
According to the latest reports, MNS has given an ultimatum to actors and artistes from Pakistan, such as Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, to leave India. A leader of the party issued a 48-hour deadline, after which he said MNS would “push them out”.
MNS leader Amey Khopkar, chief of the MNS’s cinema workers’ unit Chitrapat Karamchari Sena, spoke to ANI regarding this.
Apart from Fawad, Mahira Khan too has a huge project lined up in Bollywood. She’s all set to star against Shah Rukh Khan in Raees.
While we all understand that tempers are running high, do you think it’s correct to drag artists into this? Do let us know what you think.
