Upset over not getting good marks in her examinations, a student of Class 11 allegedly shot herself with her father’s revolver on Sunday night. The girl has been identified as 17-year-old Anshali Kumari, who was reportedly upset for not scoring well in her class XI exam, results of which were announced on Sunday. No suicide note has been found.
Police told The Tribune that when the girl’s father left for work in the morning, Anjali locked herself in the bathroom and shot herself with her father’s licensed weapon.
Her father was informed by her family upon which he rushed home and broke down the road. Anjali was found dead with a gunshot wound on her head.
The girl was a student of a private school in Pillukhera. Her father is the sarpanch of Jind’s Siwah village in Haryana. The police have filed a case and begun investigation.
