Jammu: Hundreds of college going girls today staged protest in this winter capital of the state when they were denied entry into the premises for allegedly not following dress code.
A group of students of Government College for Women, Parade this morning were not allowed to enter the college as they were reportedly not following the proper dress code.
“The college girls were in denims and T-shirts while some of them were also not in proper dress code as mentioned in college rules,” official sources here said.
They said that as per college norms, the girls have to be in complete dress code which is white ‘salwar’, ‘kameez’ and ‘dupatta’ and only barring married girls.
Meanwhile, the girls amid slogans against the college authorities staged protest and blocked the road.

Girls of Parade college Jammu today led a protest against college principal and peon for alleged harassment. The students allege that the principal ripped the Dupatta of one on the girl students.
