JAMMU, Apr 28: For making illegal appointment a case has been registered against Dr Rakesh Khajuria, former Project Director J&K AIDS Control Society by State Vigilance Organization (SVO)
An official handout issued by the SVO said that the then Project Director Dr Rakesh Khajuria had appointed that one Priyanka Thusoo as Quality Manager (Blood Safety) without any experience in the Directorate of J&K State AIDS Control Society.
The Society had invited applications for different posts. Among them, there was one post of Quality Manager as well for which the eligibility criteria had been fixed as B.Pharma with three years experience in Blood Bank/Pharma industry.
However, the handout said, she was not eligible for the post as she was B Pharma and only had a certificate as a lecturer in Sain Charitable Institute of Para Medical Sciences.
Though not being eligible, Thusoo was short-listed for the interview by the then Project Director, JKSACS and members of the Selection Committee in connivance with each other.
Further, Thusoo was also awarded 10 marks for possessing additional qualification which was never the part of eligibility criteria and later was appointed as Quality Manager, a post for which she was not fit for.
The Vigilance Organization has registered case against Dr Rakesh Khajuria under various Sections for further investigations in the case.
