Vikar flags off group of youth to undergo vocational training in Punjab
BANIHAL : Minister of state for Technical Education, Power, CA&PD, Information, Mr Vikar Rasool Wani today flagged off a group of 143 youth of Banihal and Ramsoo block for Punjab and Chandigarh where they will be trained in various technical trades.
The group of youth have been sent under Skill Development for Youth Jammu and Kashmir (SDYJK) programme.
District Development Commissioner, M H Malik, Director Technical Education, S. Jaipal Singh, AD Ab. Rashid, Superintendent ITI, Mudassir Shan, officers of Department and Prominent citizens of the tehsil attended the function.
While interacting with the youth, the Minister stressed upon them to take this opportunity as a chance to improve their economic condition. He further said to the youth to take training with interest and dedication.
Vikar informed that the among the group of youth 53 will be imparted electrician training, 49 Plumber training and 41 would undergo training to become and land surveyor.
Minister said that the work on upcoming ITI building in Banihal is apace and will be completed soon adding that construction work on women hostel is also in full swing. He said that one more group of youth of Banihal and Ramsoo would be sent for training soon.
