Villagers torch Govt. vehicle after it crushes minor girl to death in central Kashmir
A government vehicle was torched by angry people in central Kashmir’s Budgam district after it crushed a ten-year-old girl to death on Friday.
Locals told Media Sources that a government vehicle belonging to Rural Development Department hit seerat Jan, daughter of Abdul Hamid Reshi in Nasrullahpora village of the district today morning at the main chowk.
The girl, they said, died on spot.
As the word of the killing spread, people assembled at the spot of the accident and torched the vehicle, said an eyewitness.
The crowd didn’t even allow the firemen to douse the fire until the vehicle turned into ashes.
An official said that police has registered a case in this regard.
