Mumbai: Recently Vivo slashed the price of several of its phones in India. The Vivo Y93 gets added to the list now. The smartphone maker has reduced the price of both the variants of the Vivo Y93 by Rs 1,000. The Vivo Y93 comes in two variants — one with 3GB RAM and the second one with 4GB RAM. Both the variants have seen a price drop of Rs 1,000 now and this makes the starting price of the phone reduce to Rs 10,990.
To recall, the Vivo Y93 was launched back in the month of December last year. The Vivo Y93 3GB RAM model was launched for Rs 12,990 while the 4GB RAM model of the phone went official for Rs 13,990. After the price drop of Rs 1,000 the price of 3GB + 32GB variant of the Vivo Y93 is now set for Rs 10,990. The second model of the phone with 4GB + 64GB storage comes for Rs 11,990 after the price drop. Notably, the new prices are listed on Amazon India website and Vivo’s e-store already. Interestingly the new prices are applicable to offline retailers too.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Vivo Y93 comes packed with 6.2-inch HD+ (720×1580 pixels) Halo FullView display. The phone is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.5. On the camera front, the Vivo phone includes 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors on the back panel and single 8-megapixel sensor on the front. The phone is backed by a 4030 mAh battery.
By dropping the price of the phone it looks like Vivo wants the Y93 to compete with phones like Redmi Note 7S. Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 7S last month and the phone comes for a price tag of Rs 10,999. This price is for the base model of the phone with 3GB RAM. The 4GB RAM model of the Redmi Note 7S comes for Rs 12,999.
