Off late, Vodafone has been very aggressive with its prepaid recharge plans, giving a tough fight to the competitor offering. Recently, the telco introduced Rs 279 long-validity plan, which is one of the cheapest to come with 84 days validity. Now, the company has introduced an even affordable plan priced at Rs 189, with long validity benefit. It is commendable as no other operator is offering such a long validity plan at affordable rates.
Vodafone’s Rs 189 plan offers voice and data benefits, but SMS benefit is missing. Users get unlimited voice calling, but with an FUP. It is capped at 250 minutes daily, and 1,000 minutes per week. After the FUP limit is hit, users will be charged at 1p/sec. Also, users can also make outgoing calls to 100 unique users per week. The plan also offers 2GB of 3G / 4G data, and a validity of 56 days.
Talking about the other Vodafone plan priced at Rs 279, users get 84 days validity, but does not include any SMS benefits. However, users do get unlimited calling and 4GB 3G / 4G data through the validity period.
In competition, Reliance Jio has a prepaid plan priced at Rs 198 which offers a total of 56GB 4G data, along with a validity of 28 days. This means users can download 2GB data daily. The plan also includes 100 free SMS daily and unlimited voice calls without any FUP.
