Vodafone India has been a silent player in the Indian telecommunication industry and in order to take on Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel in the affordable prepaid plan segment, Vodafone has launched Rs. 99, Rs. 109 prepaid recharge plans which come with unlimited voice calling benefit, up to 1GB of data and more.
The Vodafone Rs. 99 prepaid recharge plan comes with unlimited voice calling (local, STD and roaming) without any data benefits while the Vodafone Rs. 109 prepaid recharge plan offers 1GB of total data on top of unlimited calling for the whole validity period. Both these plans come with a validity of 28 days while voice calling benefit is limited to 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. On the other hand, users will be able to make calls to only 100 unique numbers during the whole validity period.
Both the Vodafone Rs. 99 and Rs. 109 prepaid recharge plans are seemingly for those users who are looking for voice only prepaid recharges at an affordable price and the limit of 100 unique numbers for making calls has been placed to prevent telemarketers from misusing the plans.
The Vodafone Rs. 99 and Rs. 109 prepaid recharge plans will go against Reliance Jio’s Rs. 98 prepaid plan which comes with 2GB of total data, SMS benefit and unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit. These two plans will also compete with BSNL’s affordable STV offerings.
