Volunteers of ‘BADLAV’ presented memorandum to Vice-chancellor, University of Jammu
JAMMU: Today, the volunteers of ‘Badlav ’ (students of Law Department, JU) met with the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Jammu University and presented the Memorandum regarding cleanliness of the campus. The volunteers have started an initative to make the campus clean and green.They discussed various issues regarding cleanliness and beautification with the V.C and highlighted various issues including the demand of installing dustbins at various places within the campus. The team has started its mission from the Department of Law last month and carried it forward to the Jantar Mantar and the Dhanvantri Library area. The volunteers apprised the worthy Vice Chancellor regarding various problems being faced and the works undertaken by the team.
The V.C welcomed the initiative of the team and assured that the administration will provide full support to them. He appreciated the efforts of the volunteers and said that it is not possible without the support of students to make the campus clean. He further added that the university will work in coordination with the team to make the campus clean and green.
The team will continue its mission and will take it further to the whole campus in the forthcoming days and shall create awareness among the students of university.
The volunteers of Badlav present in the meeting were Deepak Mahajan, Ajay Kumar, Shriya Sharma,Rupali Chadha and Sachin Sharma.
