Born in Anantnag and grew up in Nagrota, Rahul Pandit is just 19 years old and he has directed eight music videos, two short films and a full length feature film too. When asked about how the journey started, he said that it was one of his uncles, Pintoo Ji Bhatt, an actor, who gave birth to this dream of Rohit.

“I used to see my uncle on screen and then I would get dreams of doing the same when I was young”, Rohit said. He also added that when he was a child, he never knew that he will also become a director but as he grew up, he found direction more interesting than acting.

Rohit started working at a very young age. He just celebrated his 19th birthday and has already directed eight music videos in Jammu and outside the state too. Among short films directed by Rohit, there is one with name “Wrong Path” that was based on harmful shortcuts in life which lead to darkness. The other is called “Kagaz” and is based on a love incident written and directed by him.

Rohit has also assisted director Aaditya Tickoo in a full length horror movie with name “Haunted Forest” which is now ready to release. Apart from this, he was also one of the lead actors in the movie Damini – the victim (based on much publicized Delhi rape case).

At present, he is directing music videos of a Bollywood feature film “Hum Tumhare Rahenge Sada”. This film is a love story and Bollywood top singers like Kumar Sanu, Anuradha and Jawed Ali have sung for the film.

Rohit gives the credit of his success to his mentor Adhi Bhat and his family. He said “Adhi Sir has been an inspiring figure for me all along. He has played a very significant role in furnishing my career. Besides that my family has always been a guiding force for me.”

He also complimented his colleagues and other team members who have always been helpful and cooperative to him.
