Srinagar, January 18: Senior Abdullah had to eat his words that NC would consider a tie-up with the BJP to form the government if it received any such proposal on Sunday after his son and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his displeasure.
The National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah had made a statement on Saturday in Jammu that that “NC’s doors are open for an alliance” with Bharatiya Janata Party in Jammu and Kashmir. The statement went viral on several news channels and online websites but Omar reportedly made an objection to this and on Sunday Morning he made another statement that he did not mean what he said.
“I have never said that we are going to go with BJP. I have said BJP and PDP should form the government as they have the mandate. We don’t have mandate so we cannot decide on government formation,” said Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Sunday.
So what did really happen? Was the NC chief snubbed by Omar Abdullah afterall?
