Water Shortage, Power Cuts affects normal life in hot and humid conditions

Jammu: The heat wave has the affected normal life of the people in the Jammu region where people were forced to remain indoors. The maximum and minimum temperature is increasing day by day and was recording above normal temperature. Jammu city, the city of temples which is already facing an acute shortage of water (million gallons) per day in the hot and humid conditions this demand of water and electricity increases gradually. Due to which the protests were held at many places where the people staged demonstrations to highlight their problems to get the attention of the administration.
On the other hand several litres of water is going waste every day by the leaking of water pipes in many areas due to the negligence of PHE Department which is not paying any attention towards repairing of these pipes. The people residing in the areas adjoining to the Jammu city like New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Talab Tillo, Bohri, Sainik Colony, Chowadhi and other areas are facing hardships due to the shortage of drinking water due to the irregular water supply.
Even this is the condition of the areas in the Capital city like Jammu what to talk about the miseries of the people living in far flung areas remote hilly areas where there is no proper connectivity of roads, no proper supply of electricity, no proper supply of drinking water, we can only image their hardships.
The officials of the PHE Department should wake up from deep slumber and take early steps for repairing the leakages in the water pipes.
Even same is the condition of the electricity supply where the Power Development Department imposed scheduled as well as unscheduled power curtailments in the area.
