Jammu & Kashmir: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remained closed for the third day on Monday. Till late evening in the Digdol area of Ramban, there was no success in removing the passi from the highway.
Nearly three thousand small and big vehicles have been stranded on both sides due to the closure of the highway. Meanwhile, the Mughal road connecting Rajori and Poonch districts with Shopian (Kashmir) was also closed for the sixth day.
According to Sonam Lotus, director of the Meteorological Center, Srinagar, there is a possibility of snowfall in the mountainous regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Kargil from the night of 14 November to 16 November.
Earlier on Saturday, two porter working with the army were submerged in an avalanche that came close to the Himmat post in Af Ravat, an upper part of Gulmarg in Baramulla district. Operation could not be started from Chopper due to heavy snowfall. On 10 November, the expedition was carried out by sending rescue teams from Chopper.
