World’s longest Rail link project’s completion in J&K expected by 2020

Minister of State Railways, Government of India, Manoj Sinha today visited the construction of the world’s longest bridge in Kouri, District Reasi. The Minister inspected the ongoing work of the Udhampur-Katra-Qazigand-Baramullah Rail link (USBRL) project. The Jammu-Udhampur-Katra-Quazigund-Baramulla Railway line is the biggest project in the construction of a mountain railway since independence.

While addressing media in a Press Conference afterwards, the minister said that the project will be finished by 2020 and will be a gift to the people of Jammu and Kashmir by the Government of India.
