With the Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar all decked up for the welcome of the Amarnath Yatris, the first batch has arrived the location. Arrangements and security have been reviewed at the Yatri Niwas and the other major locations by the concerned authorities in the recent days. The pilgrims are gearing up for the 59 day Yatra that is to begin on July 2nd and are getting their tickets booked and the Yatra permits ready.
Ganga Ram, who is physically handicapped, has come all the way from Meerut. He says that he has been going to Amarnath from the last five years and the physical challenge has never pulled him back.
Minister for Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sukhnandan Kumar Choudhary also visited the respective location to review the arrangements and provisions made for the Yatris. The Minister gave his contact number and said that he can be contacted any time directly in case of any requirement, trouble or need.
