Young Tourism employee found dead in Jammu and Kashmir

The dead body of daily wager of the State Tourism Department was found floating in a large underground water tank at Golf Course, Sidhra, late last night.

According to the reports, the deceased identified as Shamboo Nath (37) son of Dewan Chand, resident of Kishtwar, was presently living in a quarter in the premises of the Golf Course and had allegedly gone to wash the food utensils after taking his dinner but when he did not return back to his quarter for a long time, his colleagues searched for him and found his body floating in the water tank.

“The body of the deceased was shifted to GMC Jammu and after postmortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites”, a police official said, adding, inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC have been initiated in this connection at police post Sidhra.
