SRINAGAR: Minister for Housing Horticulture, Culture and Youth Services & Sports, Mr. Raman Bhalla has said youth is asset of nation and to provide necessary infrastructure, platform to exhibit their skill and talent is among priorities of government so that their talent is properly channelized.
The Minister was speaking while attending the concluding function of 4-days 33rd boys and 17th girls Sub-Junior National wrestling Championship organized by J&K Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council at Indoor Stadium Srinagar here today.
The Minister said that government will leave no stone unturned for the welfare and development of youth and has launched number of programmes for shaping their future.
While greeting the participants coming from different states of country , the minster urged upon them to be ambassadors of Kashmir and carry forward the message that the state is abode of love, peace, mutual brotherhood besides, has ample opportunities of holding national level sports events in the background of natural beauty, fascinating environment and compassionate hospitality.
During the championship, as many as 900 wrestlers from 28 States and 2 boards from all over India besides 250 officials exhibited their talent.
Secretary State J&K Sports Council, officers of J&K Wrestling Association and J&K State Sports Council, besides, large number of sports lovers were present on the occasion.
