Administration shall take a serious note on the loss caused due to floods in Surankote: Shahnawaz Choudhary

Surankote: Taking a serious note on the failure of administration in restoring the lifeline in Surankote, Youth Congress State president Shahnawaz Choudhary urged the government to restore the disconnected roads in Surankote. He also urged the government to provide the compensation at the earliest to all the flood victims who suffered loss due to the most devastating flood. He also asked the State government to provide the compensation for the farmers, who lost their crops in the recent rain and floods.
In a press note issued to media persons, he said despite rain and floods, having brought havoc, the Government have done nothing except making various visits and assurances, while the people of Surankote constituency continue to be neglected on all fronts.
Shahnawaz later talked to the divisional commissioner, Jammu and told him to reconstruct the Dundhak Bridge as soon as possible as a large segment of population is disconnected from the rest of the world due to the great loss caused to this bridge in the flood. He also urged him to take a serious note on the restoration of other roads in the area which felt pray at the hands of neglect by the state administration.
“I offer heartfelt sympathy on my behalf and on behalf of youth congress to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery” said Shahnawaz Choudhary while expressing sympathy and grief over the loss caused to life and property especially five deaths that were caused in the flood in Hill Kaka village in Surankote.
It is worthwhile to mention here that administration has neglected the Poonch district especially Surankote constituency. While administration is concentrating other areas and Surankote is becoming the victim of neglect by the administration.
