SRINAGAR: The family members of a youth who has gone missing from Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have appealed him to return home.
Officials have identified the missing youth as Shafat Ahmad Malik (25) son of Muhammad Yusuf Malik.
It’s likely that he might have joined a terrorist group however there is no confirmation by any security agencies.
The family is pleading in a video asking him to come back. Many youth have returned after being called by families to return back.
The family members said that Malik had left for SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for a medical check-up on April 28 but did not return home.
The police said that the family lodged a missing report on April 30 at Kangan police station.
The family members told that Malik was working as a salesman at a footwear shop in Srinagar but had recently left the job to extend a helping hand in domestic works.
