Youth play pivotal role in decision making: Mir
DHOBIWANP: Terming the economic stability of the society as base for building a strong nation, the Patron of Democratic Party Nationalist, (DPN) Mr. Ghulam Hassan Mir said that his party is advocating since its inception to make the State self sufficient by utilizing abundant natural resources of the State in right direction.
Mr. Mir was addressing a mammoth public gathering here today.
Senior Party leaders including Farooq Ahmad Dar, District President DPN Muhammad Assadullah Bhat, President Beopar Mandal, Dhobiwan Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Mir and youth leaders of party addressed the gathering.
Describing the people as fountain heads of power in a democratic set up, Mr. Mir said that they are best judges of the performance of a party at the ground level having the right to verify and keep a check. He said that my party believes in putting things in practice and its work is visible on ground adding that it does not believe in empty promises and hollow slogans.
Stating that the peace is imperative for the development and prosperity of the State, Mr. Mir sought cooperation of the people to fructify development plans so that their maximum benefits reach to the people at grass root level.
Mr. Mir said that devolution of powers to the village level representatives’ at the grass-root level was the main agenda of his party that aims to provide opportunity to them to frame developmental plans for their respective areas.
Mr. Mir said that youth will be equally important in decision making, adding that his party will put in all its efforts to empower them so that their dreams of a prosperous future in a developed and peaceful State of Jammu and Kashmir is realized. Believing that youth are the building blocks of a society, Mr. Mir said that there is a need to channelize the energies of the much talented youth of our State in the best possible way, adding that his party will work day in and day out to explore the possibilities of more and more job avenues for them.
The Party Patron cautioned the people against the vested interests of certain negative elements who want to divide the people of the State to satiate their own interests. He appealed to the people to extend their whole hearted support to DPN so that developmental plans are formulated as per the aspirations of the people as well as implemented so as to provide maximum benefits to the people thereby making their lives more comfortable and worthwhile.
