Youth stabbed at Gandhi Nagar wedding; serious

Jammu, Apr 27: A Delhi youth was allegedly stabbed by two local youth over money dispute in a marriage party last night at Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu.

Police sources said that the victim has been identified as Anurag of Tilak Nagar Delhi

According to the sources, Anurag had come to Jammu to attend the marriage ceremony of her sister-in-law in Gandhi Nagar where during the ceremony he got engaged in a scuffle with two local youth over a ‘money dispute’.

The scuffle took ugly turn when the local youth  allegedly attacked him and stabbed him with a sharp-edged weapon, they said.

Adding, that both the accused fled from the spot after stabbing Anurag.

The accused have been identified as Honney and Sanam of Nanak Nagar.

The victim was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu for treatment while the accused were arrested by police which immediately reacted to the incident, said the source.

The case under FIR 96/16 u/s 307, 452/34 and 4/25 of Arms Act have been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and further investigation is in progress, said the Police.
