REASI: Three-week long Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) conducted under the aegis of J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute District Centre Reasi concluded on 27 Dec 2018.
30 candidates were enrolled for the training on its first day and 24 candidates successfully completed all the requirements of EDP including 2 Female candidates.
The candidates were trained under self employment component of Himayat scheme implemented by JKEDI, a path breaking initiative of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India.
The program aims at providing entrepreneurial skills for sustainable livelihood to youth of J&K.
The training program was modeled for Manufacturing, Agri-allied and Services sector and the aspiring entrepreneurs have chosen various activities like Manufacturing, Retail Shops, Departmental Stores and Construction Materials.
The unemployed youth, who are all set to start their own business ventures, were exposed to a comprehensive participatory training course of the institute to equip them with what they need to start a profitable business.
These budding Entrepreneurs would be provided finance of up to Rs. 4 Lakhs to kick start their proposed business ventures EDPs aim at providing lessons on skill development, performance improvement as well as business cum sector specific, and self-development training to the participating youth.
The next EDP in district Reasi is scheduled to be conducted in first week of January 2019.
