Early morning: Drink a glass of lukewarm water mixed with freshly squeezed lemon juice as soon as you get up on an empty stomach. This will help cleanse your tummy, liver of toxins and improve skin health. It may even reduce your calorie intake, thereby aiding in weight loss.

Breakfast: Ensure that you eat your breakfast every day, preferably at home. Include protein-rich foods in your morning meal to keep you full for longer and boost your metabolism, which is great for losing those unwanted pounds. You may also include green smoothies in your breakfast to get your daily dose of fibre and flush toxins from your body. Do not skimp on breakfast as it can backfire and cause overeating later in the day.

Lunch: Try to eat home-cooked meals only as it is the best and quickest way to get leaner and fitter. Drink water: Drinking enough water has been shown to increase metabolic rate, which helps you burn more calories. In fact, many people are consuming detox water to help them get rid of toxins, improve energy levels, boost digestion and speed up weight loss. You can make your own detox water by infusing water with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs that you like.
