After Protest Against DMO Samba, DC Acts Tough, Visits The Spot


SAMBA, April 01: After protesting against DMO, Samba & asking for his suspension in DC Office, Samba, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta, following the complaints today visited the challan (Form-A) receipt centre at Nud Samba along with Senior Superintendent of Police and directed the concerned agency to immediately start the challan receipt counter which was non functional from last 24 hours.

She issued on spot orders that the receipt counter issuing Form-A to locals will work on the scheduled timings i.e 6am to 6pm only and warned that any one floating norms will be taken to task.

Deputy Commissioner, Samba ordered that Mining Department will display all the Government approved rates on hoardings near collection centre for smooth conduct of mining activity.

She further warned that any illegitimate mining activity in district Samba will not go unnoticed and action as warrant will also be taken including recommendation for cancellation of mining contract.
