Ahead of Anantnag Polls: Truck Laden with cash caught fire (Watch Video)


SRINAGAR:  A truck has caught fire during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday in Panzath area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s area just a day before the poll in Anantnag constituency.

 As per reports a Truck bearing number JK05A 8795 carrying junk material caught fire near Panzath area of Qazigund due to unknown reasons.

Interestingly, sources said the truck was laden with trash and bundles of Rs 500 notes.


Sources said the area was littered with half burnt notes and the residents around had even taken many of them.
It was not immediately confirmed whether the currency was transported illegally for distribution among voters of Anantnag Parliamentary seat or its claimable, however both the driver and conductor of truck said that we don’t know that where from money came in our truck.
SHO Qazigund and other police officials have reached on the spot.
When last reports came both Driver and conductor of truck were being questioned by police.
