One Nation One Nation Card is an initiative by the Government of India which enables ration cards holders to access PDS benefits from any Fair Price Shop in the country.

The Deputy Commissioner, while speaking on the occasion, said that the Government of India has launched this initiative with the sole aim to benefit the general public so that they can access to Government ration at any fair price shop in the country through point of scale machines.

He said that the objective of this scheme is to provide freedom to beneficiaries as they will not be tied to one PDS shop and reduce their dependence on shop owners. He said the scheme would also help in curtailing corruption. He added that the biggest beneficiaries of the scheme are the migrant workers who move to other districts and go outside home states and UTs to seek better jobs.
