Doda boy defeats Olympic medalist for the second time in Asian Games


Jammu, February 13: By the end of day 7 of South Again Games being held in Guwahati, Chain Singh  grabbed his second gold medal.

The 26-year old resident Doda district of Jammu became the winner of men’s 50m rifle prone title on Thursday by upstaging Gagan Narang with a total score of 204.6  at the Kahilipara Shooting Range.

Narang had won a medal in the 2012 London Olympics but on Thursday, he had to be content with a bronze as the gold went in the bag of Chain Singh. In the team event, the trio of Chain Singh, Gagan Narang and Imran Khan won the gold with a total score of 1863.4. The silver and bronze was bagged by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka  with the score of 1845.8 and 1827.2 respectively.
