High Court Seeks Personal Appearance Of Commissioner/Secretary By Notice Execution Through IGP


Srinagar, April 14: In the HIGH COURT OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR AT SRINAGAR in WP(C) No. 545/2021 CM No. 1683/2021 titled Qurat-ul-Ain Masoodi V/s Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, Home Department & Anr.after hearing Hon’ble Mr Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Judge ordered as:-

The endeavour of the Court to summon the respondent No.2, namely, Peerzada Gowhar S/o Ghulam Rasool Peerzada R/o Rajbagh, Srinagar, by issuing notice to him twice on the address supplied by the petitioner in her petition has failed.

Petitioner, who is present in person, when asked, submitted that the respondent No.2 is presently putting up at Delhi.

Let the petitioner furnish the present address of respondent No.2 for ensuring service of notice on him to the Bench Secretary of this Court, who, in turn, shall make necessary correction in the cause title of the petition, accordingly.

Thereafter, Registry shall issue notice to respondent No.2 on the fresh address so supplied by the petitioner for his appearance in the Court on the next date of hearing. The notice shall be executed through Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir.

List again on 21st of April, 2021.

Meanwhile, the impugned notices qua pronouncement of First and Second Talaq by respondent No.2 on the petitioner shall remain subject to outcome of this petition.
