IN PICS | Mata Vaishno Devi Adorne with Flowers


Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Mother Goddess Mahalakshmi.

The Vaishno Devi temple has been richly decorated with flowers and lightings. The flowers from five different countries are adding more charm to the temple. Whole atmosphere of the temple has been filled with the sweet fragrance of these flowers.

The entire route, starting from Katra and ending with Bhavan, has been decorated with lightings .

“Navratri is a special occasion for the Shrine Board. We have decorated the entire Bhavan area and some other major yatra stations with flowers brought specially from different countries. In addition, we have launched a special sanitation drive and security has been increased keeping in mind the current situation in the state, ” said Ajit Kumar Sahu CEO of Shrine Board.

Thousands of devotees from across the country and abroad are reaching Vaishno Devi shrine for the nine-day Navratri festival. 

The special decoration with imported flowers and lightings have doubled up devotees joy and enthusiasm, as most of them find it a special visual delight after taking a arduous journey of 12 kilometres up the hills.
