He was accompanied by Joint Director Information, Jammu, Namrita Dogra, senior functionaries of Hospitality and Protocol, Education, Police, Security, R&B, PHE, PDD and other concerned departments. During his visit, the ADC took stock of the face lifting of the main venue, seating arrangements, power supply, drinking water facility, installation of PAS, barricading of venue, sanitation measures and other necessary arrangements. The ADC directed the concerned agency for adequate deployment to ensure foolproof security arrangements at the venue and the surrounding areas. The ADC was also briefed about the identified parking spots for the national function. Indian-Origin Man Awarded by UK PM for Bhangra Classes

An Indian-origin dancer who turned his dance classes into free, fun fitness sessions online during the coronavirus pandemic has been awarded the Points of Light honour from United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Rajeev Gupta, who offers classes in bhangra, believes the dance form is upbeat, energetic and “anyone can do it.” His YouTube live videos spread the message to stay active and positive even during the lockdown.
