Kunjwani-Satwari Chowk Flyover to be Ready in 3 Years


The proposed flyover (elevated road) from Kunjwani to Satwari Chowk will be completed in three years. In this context, the National Highways Authority of India has allotted the construction contract to Pagoda Constructions, New Delhi.

According to official sources, the construction work of flyover from Kunjwani to Satwari Chowk will be done in the same way as the section of New Delhi to Katra Expressway. After the construction of the flyover, all the vehicles passing through the highway except Samba, Kathua, Bari Brahmana will be able to reach Satwari without getting stuck in a jam. Passengers travelling on New Delhi-Katra Expressway through this flyover will also be able to reach Jammu Airport easily.

YPS Jado, Project Officer of the National Highways Authority of India, while confirming the contract for the construction of the proposed flyover (elevated road) from Kunjwani to Satwari Chowk, has been awarded Pagoda Constructions and said that soon the construction work on this project would start.

It is noteworthy that in Jammu city, a network of flyovers has been laid at many places. Traffic is being managed better only with the help of flyovers at Vikram Chowk, Tawi Pul, Juul Chowk, BC Road. The construction work of flyover on Akhnoor Road from Canal Road to Muthi is going on in full swing. It will take time to complete, but once it is completed, the traffic problem on Jammu Akhnoor Road will be resolved to a great extent.
