PDP concern over women safety



The People Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep anguish and dismay over the rising graph of rapes coupled with murder in the country with special reference to minor girl’s rape in Bangalore and gruesome incidents in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference here today, PDP candidate from Jammu East Constituency, Bharat Choudhary, Vikram Singh, Ashok Jogi, Chaman Angral & Veeresh Mahajan demanded strict action against sexual violence cases and appealed to the society to reject the destructive attitude towards females.

He further said that reservation is not the solution to rising crime against women and stressed that violence against women is a peace and security issue, human rights issue and development issue Government should treated crime against women in appropriate manner and held guilty persons through fast track courts.

Vikram Singh said that government should provide safety to the working women in private also well as government sector and also make mandatory common rooms for female in workplace so that they easily share their grievances.
