SSP Jammu Reviews Lockdown Measures; Directs Strict Actions Against Violators


Jammu, May 07: Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu Chandan Kohli said that around 34 persons were arrested, Twenty one shops were sealed and 6 vehicles were also seized for violating pandemic guidelines across Jammu district in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli along with SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid visited RS Pura and reviewed lockdown measures.

SDM RS Pura Ram Lal Sharma, SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma also accompanied the SSP during his visit.

SSP also visited COVID testing and vaccination centres and appealed to the people to get vaccinated.

He also laid emphasis to follow the SOPs like washing hands frequently, covering nose and mouth with handkerchief/tissue while sneezing and coughing, avoid participating in large gathering, avoid close contact with anyone, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth and maintain social distancing.

He warned of strict action against those who violate COVID-19 pandemic SOPs.
