Sushant Singh Rajput’s death left many in shock. The actor, who hailed from Patna, committed suicide on June 14. He was 34 years old.
Now, advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha has filed a complaint against Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan, Ekta Kapoor and four other people in connection with Sushant’s death in a court in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur.
While talking to Agencies, Sudhir Kumar Ojha said, “I have filed a case against 8 people including Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Salman Khan & Ekta Kapoor under Sections 306, 109, 504 & 506 of IPC in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case in a court in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. (sic).”
He added, “In the complaint, I have alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput was removed from around seven films and some of his films were not released. Such a situation was created which forced him to take the extreme step. (sic).”
A case has been filed under Sections 306 (Abetment Of Suicide), 109 (Punishment of abetment if the act abetted is committed in consequence and where no express provision is made for its punishment), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of IPC.
Karan Johar was massively trolled after he expressed grief over Sushant’s death on Twitter. Netizens called out the filmmaker for mocking Sushant on his talk show Koffee With Karan, in an episode featuring Alia Bhatt.
Sushant’s last rites were performed by his father at Pawan Hans Crematorium on June 15. His friends from the industry, including Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Mukesh Chhabra, Vivek Oberoi and more, were present at the crematorium to say their final goodbyes.
