Thousands of people are hurt or killed each year on the Indian roads and highways due to poor road quality and conditions.

Although state and federal laws require cities, towns, villages, and counties to design, build, and maintain safe roads and highways, it’s virtually impossible to ensure every road and highway is completely safe.

Large and small roads are all uniformly riddled with potholes; in many places, entire roads have been dug up.

The road just outside the Hari Niwas Palace Hotel suddenly goes 3-feet-deep and can be potentially dangerous, even life threatening. The road is unbalanced since forever, and every time it is redone, a major part of it is left out.

The bad condition of the road here results in jerking of knees to the two-wheeler drivers and the risk of four wheelers toppling in these ditches always runs high. And not just this, every other day there are numerous parties and functions in the Hotel, and with the poor lighting, accidents become periodic.
The road is not just any road, it is the National Highway and demands utmost attention. Talking about the traffic here especially at the night hours, is extreme with trucks and other heavy vehicles running at high speeds, the occurrence of road mishaps becomes a rather prevalent phenomenon.
